Hey, How close would you think the fuse rating is to the actual output of all the lights on the turn signal circuit? I have some additional lights I want to install onto the front of the car, connected in with the front turn signals/running lights. Is this a good idea? I don't want to be blowing fuses or heating up the wires. I mean, adding two 1157 bulbs into the circuit probably doesn't add hardly anything in terms or amperage...does it?
If for example your pressent circuit uses 4 1157 bulbs simultaneously and you added two more it would add 50% to the load of the circuit. If you want to figure the additional amperage on a 12 volt DC circuit divide the wattage of each bulb by 12 and add the figues together. This is the additional amperage you will add to the circuit.
