anyone here ever acid dipped a car or car part? i hear it has amazing results, but can be pricey. thinkin on doin my GS hood for my 69 Skylark custom convertible. Wonderin if it would be more worth while to get it dipped than do it myself. I'm stripping tho top of the car anyway as well as the underside of the hood and decklid. Don't think I'll be doin the sides this time around(it appears someone has welded half 1/4s on. theirs no rust or any reason to mess with them, so I don't want to start messing with them and get myself into something i might regret.) ps: can you change the skins on the trunk? their seem to be pop rivetts and welds where their shouldnt be...as if the skin was changed at one time:eek2: thanks
