Bob, to my knowledge it has not been set up. I'm going to admit my ignorance and ask, what specs you are asking about.

Interested in flexplate. I assume it
is external balance? How old is it and
    who made it?
    Thanks.

I'm just wondering how the advance is set up, at what RPM does it start when it is all in etc. Would this be more adjustable than a stock distributor such as mechanical advance limits and so on. Does it come with different spring rates?
When it was ordered how was it set up for example the HEI in my 53 advance starts @ 900 and is full advance @ 2400.

    Bob,
I will need to check the paperwork. I did not order the distributor.

    Clark,
I will have the answers to your questions later today as well.

I take it that is a 2 wire magnetic pick up that would work with Stinger ignition systems?

To answer a couple of questions; I do not have any paperwork with the distributor, therefore I do not know how it was configured from the factory. There are two sets of springs with it. It has three wires, not two. I would say this will not work with a magnetic pick up.

Om the flex plate; it is externally balanced. The SFI sticker does not have the date of manufacture indicated, therefore I don't have an answer for that. As far as who made it, there is a circle with a Cheeta or other big cat in it. Any help on whose logo that is, is appreciated.

I apologize for not being able to provide more definitaive answers. Thanks, Allen

The distributor looks identical to the one I'm running, which is already a magnetically triggered setup. It can be run as is with a coil and also with a box (I'm using mine to trigger my old MSD 6AL) by removing the ignition module inside the distributor. There is even a provision for locking out the mechanical advance as well as running without the vacuum advance canister.

Adjustability and compatibility is all described here: http://www.carid.com/images/brand/accel/pdf/1638.pdf

Glad to help; I've been very happy with mine, in my opinion it's comparable to the high dollar MSD units. Good luck on the sale.

So since that magnetic pick up can be used for the 2 wire connection for the Stinger box it will work. I'm pretty sure the pick up that I replaced in my dist was for a chrysler and it was magnetic. I will check around on prices and let you know.

Not trying to kill a deal for you but there were a bunch of those Accel dizzys that had the wrong gear on them from Accel. Myself and other board members ran into this. Not a big deal as long as you have a good gear to swap.

Looks like BuickGSRules is up for the distributor and GSX1 is up for the flex plate.

    Thanks for the info Chris.
