wow, I wasn't sure they were still made. The way everything else is going on this car, I figured they were hard to find and expensive when found. :af:
The new ones are not identical to the original, they are made of steel instead of alluminum, and the shape is a little different, but they fit and they work. A reciever dryer is something that NOS or used would be no good, b/c they absorb moisture from the air as they sit in the box for a long time unless they are sealed perfectly air tight, which they usually are not and there is no way to tell until you find out the hard way.:bglasses:
Four Seasons makes one that is identical in shape and size to the original, and the dessicant is compatable with both R-12 and HFC-134a. Everybody carries FS, from Checker/Schucks/Kragen and AutoZone up to the quality stores like NAPA and PartsPlus.
