I purchased all the parts I need (I hope) to rebuild my AC (76 Riv, all stock) today. I got them from Classic Auto Air in Tampa. They recommend using lacquer thinner to clean my condenser . Obviously this will remove my paint, so doing this cleaning and flushing must take place off the car. I know there is special cleaning fluid for this, and the rep said this is better because it will evaporate and the condenser solvent has some oil in it that might not. Opinions ?
