My fan switch is acting weird on my 70 GSX with ac. It stopped working on max and will only work in the rest of the positions. It used to freeze me out when on max ac now it is working only on the lowerer settings.

Any Advice on how to fix this? New switch?

Did you consider the resistor array?

Hi speed fan relay, located on the firewall, in the engine compartment, almost dead center.

You can see it above the air cleaner, next to the W/W motor- washer pump. Year One has this part, they describe as new GM, which makes me think you can get it from GM.

    Thanks

Ill check it out, it sure is nice having the air on high speed. Believe it or not it gets hot in Alaska in the summer. 90 degrees at times.

I had that problem 6-7 years ago - at first I thought it was the switch, so I got a new one (mine was messed up and didn't click right). It turned out to be the resistors. The neat thing is, I got the new switch from a GM dealer.

There is a plug in the wire harness that feeds the relay that will get coroded and burnt that will also make you loose high.
