Im looking for an AC delete box with screws for my 1971 skylark, Has a 350 in it. Looking for something in decent shape. As long as its not rusted badly or dented.
PM me if you have something for me.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Does your car have AC now?

The firewalls are different from non-AC cars as to AC cars :Smarty:

The cover plates for the AC cars are plastic/fiberglass. Therefore will not rust or dent.

My car was with AC, so I had to make my own delete plate or spend the $129.00 for the one on E-bay.

I looked and can not find it.

I also wanted to keep the heat and windshield defrost so I made it this way.

First remove the box from your car (or donor car) and wood screw it to a thick piece of blywood. Something like three by four feet should do.

Cut the plastic box about three inches form the mounting flange.

install a materal called "hardware fiberic" with safty wire all the way around the opening.

lay fiberglass mat on both side of the "hardware fiberic"

after it sets 24 hours sand just the outside smooth.

Fill any imperfection with just the reson.

    Paint

    bolt to the fire wall.

    My end result is this

Michael put me on to the directions as to how to make my own. About 2 hours and 25-30 bucks is all I had into mine. It came out actually pretty nice I think, I made one out of a spare cracked up a/c box and some fiberglass resin. Sure beats paying 130 bucks for ones that really don't line up all that good.
