Whenever I Hit Certain Buttons On The Keyboard Not In Caps It Brings Up Different Boxes. Any Help Would Be Appriciated On How To Fix This!!! Patrick
did it start out of no where? try rebooting your computer. If that doesn't work kick it a few times :spank:
I think I'll do that. It seemed to just do it for no reason. Oh well I had been getting a bunch of pop ups lately so I guess its just time to do it anyways. Damn hackers  . That second part reminds me of a Simpsons episode "I just can't get rid of this stain I've tried shouting and hitting it with a hammer but nothing seems to work" Thanks for the tip, Patrick
Patrick, Run Ad-aware and spybot they should find your popups. Also if you're running windows XP download Service Pack 2. It has a popup blocker that's great. Good Luck
I used to get that all the time if I had the computer on for a long time and had keyboard shortcuts on. A restart always fixed it though.
Yeah that happened to me but this time it didn't change from restarting it. So me thinks a spyware program changed one of the settings on the computer. Patrick
That tends to happen to my computer when its been on for far too long... the first time it happened it scared me to death... I'd been on the computer for 36 hours straight, typing a final paper for one of my AP classes... and the entire 30 page thing just started turning into illegible, random code... I nearly puked. But, a good restart cured it. If that doesn't work, don't know what will... o No: ~Mike
Is anything lying on your keyboard? When you have a girl over, she sits on your lap not the computer. :moonu: You mentioned what Homer Simpson did but did you do? p Goodluck :TU:
Not quite sure what a browser window is man is it like different features of the computer? Because a lot of different features come up. One of the more weird things is that when I hit "M" it exits out of whatever program I was in. For one example. I dunno I just rebooted the whole system to get rid of the problem. But, thanks for the help anyways. Patrick
Doh! I thought the whole principle of a lap top was so they would have a place to sit if they thought you were to stinky to sit anywhere near you. Now I know better. p Thank you Rob  :moonu:. Thanks for all the help guys (Even you Rob  ). Patrick
WARNING: While pop-up blockers might seem like a good thing, remember this... they can prevent a pop-up that you WANT to get - like a logon window or something similar. They run in the background and chew up PC resources, making your computer run slow. And while they may stop you from see the pop-ups, those pop-ups are still happening, chewing up PC resources and making your computer run slow. You want to eliminate the reason pop-ups are happening in the first place.
the one that comes with service pack 2 doesn't seem to slow my computer down and allows you to open up needed pop-ups. there tend to be very few needed pop-ups imho
I think the one in the 2nd XP service pack only blocks bad pop-ups and unwanted span and advertising. But im not 100% sure. o No: I have the 2nd service pack. Glad i could help Pat. :moonu: p
