On my way home from work today I was on the cell phone with my older brother. In highschool we both had '72 Skylarks. My current car is a 1970 GS 350 that my brother found and I bought sight unseen. We are talking about finding him one when I spot a GS hood.
I pull into a parking lot and walk back to the car which is parked in front of a Muffler shop. Once the owner, a guy in his mid 20's, sees me checking it out he comes out. We start talking and I ask if the car is for sale. His answer is a firm "NO". Then I tell him I have one and he asks if mine is for sale. He wants another too!
His car is a gold '72 Skylark custom with a GS hood and 350-4, black interior.
He tells me that years ago there was a Stage 1 in the area that was the baddest car around. "Guy had 10K in the motor and he could lift the front end this high off the ground." (hand gesture waist high).
After a few minutes, I need to get back on my way. I say, "... if you are into these cars you have to look at v8buick.com. "
Guy smiles and says, " I am on that site every night." :Smarty:

It really is a small world. Anything similar ever happen to anybody else?

Okay, good story, but who is the guy? What's his handle?????? Didn't you ask him that after he said he was on here every night? Or are we supposed to guess?

    Didn't ask

I figured he would answer to this...guess he is not on here as often as I thought.
