I know this is not exactly the right place for this, but I was looking or a quick answer. I want to put a rear sway bar on my 71 GS which did not come from the factory with one. Do the lower control arms have holes stamped in them for the bar? I would check myself, but the car is 750 miles away from me as I am in Alabama working for Mercedes. Thanks guys

    rear control arms

    chris:
how's it goin ? u working for mercedes ? did u work for chrysler in detroit ?
the lower control arms s/b already drilled , if the control arms are boxed . i believe that those on your 71 gs would be boxed . u could drill them .
my 72 gs came with F41 suspension which includes the rear sway bar .

Chris, the holes are already there but a rear sway bar doesn't do much good if the arms aren't boxed. Also, make sure you shim the bar properly.

    Good luck!

I am currently restoring my rear boxed arms. My shims are rusted badly. Where do you get them? Chris, you could box your arms if you can't find a set of originals.

Thanks guys, I may box the arms I have done this before on my GN. My car is a stripper and has no rear bar or boxed arms.

Gerry, how are you. Do you plan on going to the BPG natonal event? My company was contracted to build the tooling for a new body shop consisting of 2 new models. 500 robots total. The work in Windsor for the Pacifica is complete.
