:Comp: Does one need the control arm braces when using the HRParts Upper and Lower control arms and the the Super Sway bar...?:Do No: Just wanted to know. Jay B.Britt,Jr.

I would use them as it triangulates the lower mounting point to the upper. The same is accomplished with a cage as there is bars from the upper main hoop to the upper mounting point (upper arms) and an x brace from the same point of the hoop to the lower effectively stopping any deflection.
The stock replacements are pretty cheap. I did purchase some last year for a 67gs400 convertible.

It may be beneficial, as Ray indicates. But we don't have them on any of our cars. The cars with the adjustable uppers/lowers and drag bar really hook nice.

i think the braces are more for helping you not rip the mounting points for the upper and lower control arms off and totalling your car. i think there was someone one here that had a friend that totalled a 13 second gto when not using them because he ripped them off the frame. i cant find the thread though.

There are also frame inserts that you weld in for both the uppers and lowers so that doesn't happen.

They say if you relocated the lowers on the rear you really need these...
