    Hey folks,

If Norton comes already installed on your PC/laptop and you reformat the hard drive, do you have to go to their site to re-register and pay all over again so your virus protection is updated?? :Do No:

I looked at the site and didn't see any links for existing customers who might need to do something like this....

    Thanks!! :TU:

Brett, I bought Norton Antivirus 2003 a couple of years ago. After you initially register, it should do the virus updates automatically. You just have to pay up again in a year.

As long as you reformat your machine, then you cna install Norton fresh, and it will never know you have had it running for a year. It will automatically start a fresh subscription on your updates...

Or go buy Norton SW 2004 and enjoy the nice features it has!!
