    Hey everybody I'm baaaack!

It's been such a wet spring around here I've only gotten to drive my car a few times. Wednesday was actually pretty nice out so we took Petunia up to KK for the test and tune. I was nervous so I made Lee go first to make sure she wouldn't blow up and would stop.

I was pretty proud of my car when she turned a 14.411 on street tires with a 1/2 tank of gas and the AC still hooked up! So then it was my turn. Gulp! I had a really cruddy reaction time and smoked the tires big time. Oh well, it sure was FUN!!! I ran 15.287 my first time down the track. (Well I can't say it was my first time, 20 years ago I ran my '75 camaro 305 there once.) Then I ran again and smoked the tires even worse because it was FUN!!!! :Brow: Lee drove a second time (hey, this was supposed to be my practice with my car!) and got 14.412. Show off!

Welcome back! I can only dream of runnin' fourteens. I'm stuck in the fifteens. Drag racing is lotsa fun though. Those two runs of Lee's were pretty darn consistant. Good racing! Don't go away for so long next time!!!!

Beth ran mine at us41 a little while back and smoked the tires about a third of the way down track and still managed to get it up to 95 MPH, I wont devulge her time though...she'll kick me in the shin's if I do.

Thanks for the welcome back guys. It's funny, I didn't want to talk about cars when I couldn't be playing with my own. Poor sport I know! My hat is off to you Beth, I'm too chicken to race Lee's car. I drove it to work one day when I was pregnant though. I was a little sad when he took the gear drive out this spring. Oh well, between that and a new tranny he picked up 2 10th's. Now he's waiting for his roll cage to arrive in the mail. Grrrr I hate Summit! I think they send a new catalog every other day. Hmmm I think I really need new heads and an intake and........

Did Bruce and Shirl move? I thought they were in Burlington. I think we are free. We'd love to meet everybody. What should we bring?

Connie, Bruce and Shirl are in the process of moving into their new place.
It's real nice with 2 acre's of lawn to park all the cars. They are in Bristol just west of I-94 and just north of the Illinois border.

    Connie,
It's REAL easy..... just break piston #6, have chunks bounce around and smack some spark plug gaps closed, have a bad harmonic balancer, leaking head gasket,
bad timing chain, the list goes on & on :ball: :ball: . Then send it to JW and wait while he works his magic. :Brow:
She (the wagon) should be done soon, I can't wait.
I don't suggest doing the above to Petunia, she's to pretty.
I tell ya what if you are going to Salem in August, you and I will line up and smoke the tires down the track  , while smoking Dana's tires at US41 I did get a little "squirrly" scared me & him. :Dou: I don't need to break another one.

    See you on the 5th
    Beth

 oh ouch! I definately don't want to try that. I have one spark plug that is held in with duct tape and who knows what else. We discovered that once we got her home from NY. I hope it starts missing so I have to get new heads. :Brow:

That would be fun! :3gears: :3gears:
