Well guy's, the day has finally come that my old Skylark will be put out to pasture and become the next Honda, or Toyota :ball: . My old Buick has served me well for 7 years that I have owned it and they were memorable years ...hopefully good cars do go to heaven :TU: . ..
Thats the good side...passenger side has been wiped out by the first owner...problems list: bad core support frame rot no trunk no rear fenders bad door rot fenders or non existant no wheel wells bent front portion of the frame rear section of the floor was gone mostly nothing but steel problems...the only thing that was in good shape was the hood, trunk, engine, trans, rear and interior parts. Mechanically the car was sound...even the A/C worked, but the cost to repair all of the damage was outrageous! . I recently aquired the car in my avatar (which ironically is the same everything as my old one) and will cost loads less to fix. I stripped this car down to nothing and saved all of the parts, believe me it looks good in pictures, but is much worse in person..just ask Yardley or 350voom (Ray)....they know what I'm talking about. Its just 1 of those time to know when to just let it go ....tell tale sign: when the car flexed to the point where I saw the floor buckle I knew it was time. It was just too much work, too much time, and WAY too much money to repair the damage that was done before I bought it.
