I am from Milwaukee WI, and we only have one place that is local to take parts in to get rechromed. I am not aware of the current pricing on chroming but this PLACE IS Ridiculous. I brought in my valve covers to get re-chromed AND NO BULL***** for ONE valve cover it was $180.00. O and the other part was the chrome trim the inserts to the top of the 70-76 shifters. They wanted a $90.00 for that little piece of plastic. ANY PLACES THAT YOU KNOW OFF I COULD SHIP TO. ALL I WANT IS SOME SMALL PARTS DONE
There is a great little chrome shop in Rock Island IL which is the quad cities area. They have done quite a few pieces for me, including ALL of the chrome parts on my 63 Wildcat. They recently did the chrome grill trim on my 68 GS. The charge was $150. Fast service, very good quality, and reasonable rates. The Chrome Shop Rock Island IL I can get you the phone number wednesday.
Hey guys, I had both of my valve covers and bolts chromed nicely for 120.00 (total). The place is Action Plating in Opa Locka, FL. I'm not sure if they take mail in orders but I don't see why not... It's hard to tell from these shots but they did a nice job.
Here is the address and number to the Chrome Shop Chrome Shop INC 540 25th Ave Rock Island, IL 61201 309-786-3743 They will have more parts from me next week to be re-chromed.

I was checking some linkss from a Buick club and they recommend a place called Desert Dogs. It's in Illinois I believe. They answer their email promptly and they charge $329.99 to rechrome a bumper. Any bumper so the stuff you're into must be cheaper. Has anyone fealt with these guys?
You could buy that little piece of plastic from me NOS for $30.00 shipped to you. I'm talking about the one for the top of the shifter.BrunoD.
