i have a few used items id like to part with. my 455 out of my regal (which i spun a bearing on) after about 800 miles. engine is a 455 out of a 71 centurion. big valve heads were cleaned, valve job done and had ta springs added. no port work done. $550 and will include the stock shafts and rockers. would prefer pickup because they would be expensive to ship ta cam and lifters 290-08h $140 + shipping rollmaster timing chain set with the 9 keyways. standard length $100 + shipping i have not taken anything apart yet but i will this week. will make sure all of the lifters are marked to go back in order on the cam. everything located in cleveland oh.
Sorry, your right it is confusing. im selling the heads with rockers for $550 the cam and lifters for $140 the rollmaster timing set for $100 im keeping the block and rotating assembly becuase i plan on redoing it some day and buying aluminum heads of some sort. sorry for being so confusing.
The 500 HP Street Cam. Good bracket cam but still streetable. Strong mid-range, top end power. TA roller rockers and valve springs recommended. 2500 -3000 stall converter recommended. Fair idle. 9.5:1 or more CR Idle Quality: Smooth Idle - just like stock Good Idle - mild lump, but doesnt impair driveability Moderate Idle - nice performance sound Fair Idle - heavy lump Rough Idle - very lumpy race type idle VALVE LIFT STOCK 1.55 RATIO: IN: .509 EXH: .504 TA ROLLERS 1.60 RATIO: IN: .525 EXH: .520 DURATION AT .050 IN: 238 EXH: 248 ADVERTISED IN: 290 EXH: 308 LOBE CENTER: 112 POWER RANGE: 2000-6000
even though this cam is very lumpy it sounded really good and i never had any problems with having enough vacum for the breaks and i was able to have it idle at about 800 rpm. i would send you the cam and lifters for the 140 shipped. cam was $185 new and the lifters were another $79
This sounds great but all I have is a bone stock 67 GS400 do you think this set up might be a little more than my set up can handle? If you think it will work then I'm in, let me know. Thanks
pete i returned you pm, i could be wrong about what i sent you but i think the stock springs are gonna struggle. i would hate to see a valve hit a piston.
