The storm is almost here and that'll be it for the Buick this winter I think. So I took my last chance to burn an old set of tires before parking the 72. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC1kFnIEFno Merry Christmas to all! Ken G.

Nice Ken! Car is looking and sounding great. The guy that builds them rear ends in your car knows what he's doing!  Merry Christmas to you and the family!
Ken - nice SHOW. But, did anyone else hear that lumpy - clunky knocking intake valve on Cyl #3 ? Or the missing oil ring on Cyl #7 ? The other "Cranky Sound" must be a loose tailpipe hanger. Oh well, she'll probably run REALLY WELL in March ;-))) Rip Rohring
AHH the sound of a screaming woman and the smell of burnin rubber......oh wait wrong site. Still way cool burn out!!!
Hey in all seriousness there is a high pitched "clicking" or "pinging" sound that I have not been able to diagnose. Its from the motor somewhere. Sounds like a exhaust leak sometimes, but it occurred equally with headers or manifolds on the car. I have tried hi octane and reduced timing with no effect. So i am thinking it is not autoignition The sound does get louder with load. It is not any type of bearing problem. I was thinking it "could" be a burnt or misaligned valve/valveseat? I did the amateur valve job. But compression tests great. Can anyone else hear the sound or have any ideas? Please tell me you can hear it its driving me CRAAAAAAZYo No: EDIT actually I will start another thread for this. post thought on my problem there. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=194605
