I have an opportunity to pick up a low mileage LT1+Trans and computer for a very fair price and wonder if it would be worth it to put in my '69 Skylark. :3gears:

While I cant stand the idea of a chebby in a buick, I'v got to admit the LT1 is a darn nice motor in all it's fuel injected glory.

With it's overdrive tranny, good torque, and your stock 2.56:1 rears, you could get some fantastic MPG's and top speeds.

What the heck, go for it!

Hey, it's a GM motor, not a chebby anyway. Powered many a Roadmonster from the factory! Ok, well, let's pretend it's not a chebby motor.

I have one in my Impala SS and love it. Very reliable (except for the opti-crap).

Go for it, it's something different! BTW, is it an aluminum head (F-body/Vette) engine or an iron head (Impala/Caprice)?

Your install is not done yet??? You will love it when you are done and make sure you drive it daily!

Its a Vette engine, I think my biggest problem will be working out the electrical issues around any extra's the Vette may have had.

Hi, I have an LT-1 in my 95 Impala SS as well. It would eat my Buick for lunch, although I hate to admit it. Last weekend I smoked the tires for about 50 feet without even trying! Way to old to be doing that kinda thing, but I gues you never grow up! The motor is very reliable and powerfull, but not so fun to work on. Good luck to you! Mark
