Where is the ECM on my 93 Roadmaster? I want to check the timing.

Unplug the tan/white wire on the firewall near the distributor.

Thanks all. I took the distributor out and marked it. It runs good but just want to check it to make sure.

This is for a Vortex engine, not LT1 motor. I don't see a gray and white wire by the distributor.

Timing is set at about 14 now. Anyone know where it should be set without unplugging the wire? It runs good at 14.

What do you mean by a vortex? I believe that should be a normal TBI motor..

The vortec stuff didn't come out until a few years later. Thats a normal run of the mill SBC. Base timing will be 0° with the tan wire unplugged. Setting the timing with the wire plugged in is just a guess at best

Got it done. It runs great. Only 157k on it. I love this car.
