Ron, thanks for posting the flyer. I'd like to point out an error to anyone reading it though. It says B.O.P. time trials on Friday. That's incorrect! Friday time trials are open to EVERYONE and ANYONE! Any friends you may have who aren't cool enough to own Buicks are welcome to come and run whatever off-brand car they were unfortunate enough to purchase! They may not run in the Buick gamblers race on Friday or in our eliminations on Saturday. They can make as many time runs as they wish on Friday and as many as we can fit them in for on Saturday. Thanks for your attention. Goodbye. :Smarty:
saturday show if a member enters the show do they have the opportunity to make a pass or two down the track since I will not be there on friday? I would like to amuse myself by running my big barge down the track. I cant hang with all these Est Coast gurus running sub 11-10-9-8...sec passes. There are certainly alot of fast cars in the NE chap. Hope to meet some of you there.
Short answer - No Long answer..... Its not an organized show, just a "Display" .... people will park their cars in an area where all can see at their leisure Since you'll pay $10 for "spectator" admission on Sat, why not just pay an extra $40 and buy all the AMUSEMENT you can handle ??? Don't worry about your times - I used to run my 350 Skylark to the tune of 16.4 and nobody put the dunse cap on me - in fact, they'll be no better place to meet and talk with the people that know how to get your car going quicker, plus I guarantee you'll have a blast watching the FAST cars ....just by doin this I was able to get my tubby convert. low into the 12's - with the help of ALL the NE crew :TU: C'mon down and join the fun !!!
saturday show I appreciate the info-I'll probably just show anyway. The car actually runs 13.78 at 101 best, but these days that's not doin much.-I'll see ya there
FAST Cars Hey Alan, is this a FAST race also? As in factory appearing stock tires or just the boys lettin loose?
Um is there an additional fee for spectators to put the their car in the show the day of the show? Because its 11:27 September 30th I dont think Im gonna make the registration deadline. Cause I think my '98 Riv would be a wonderful modern addition to the display show.
There is no fee, because there is no show. It is a "display" for guys who want to bring their Buicks, but don't want to race. We used to have a show on Sunday. The first couple of years it was at the local college, then for the next couple of years at a park on Chesapeake Bay, but every year it got smaller and smaller, so now, no more show!
ONLY "ONE" WEEK LEFT... to RACE at Cecil County Dragway and possibly run your "FASTEST" time of the whole year. Running at this track has always been a "DON'T MISS" event for us East Coast guys..........Mine Shaft air, Run 'em out the back door, End of the Season awesome racing is what you can expect at this track........Get permission from the wife, say goodbye to the kids, pat the dog on the head and come on down and end 2004 off with some of the "FASTEST" Buick racing you've seen all year. (come see the "WHEELIE KING" stand the '65 on the BACK BUMPER) COME JOIN THE FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!! :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU:

Car is ready, trailer is checked over, batteries charged as well as the jumper box! looking forward to being in the parking lot by 5 pm,thursday, and will have beer!! this is allways a great event for friends to get together, relax and have a great time, see you all there!. Bruce
Hey Bruce I don't drink beer but I know Doug can drink all my share :laugh:I should be there around then as well as long as I can get Nancy out of Atlantic City which is our first stop that day. Wish me luck  she is a professional loser there most of the time :spank:
My wife just bought a new Grand Prix GTP with the supercharged 3.8 Buick motor. Will she be able to race it on Saturday? I already sent in the money for my car for both days, will I be able to run her car if she decides not too or do I have to pay again. This is always a great race. I had to sit out and watch last year but I plan on finally having my Skylark on the track for the first time in about four years. I live about five miles from the track and so far the weather forcast looks excellent for Friday and Saturday. Friday---Partly Cloudy high 73, low 53 with 0% chance of rain. Saturday--Partly Cloudy high 72, low 50 with a 10% chance of rain. Ken
Come on over Ken. If I am correct you will be racing in one class with you trading off possibly with your wife taking a few shots down the quarter. If this is the case you would pay for 1 entry which includes car & driver and 1 spectator fee. If you enter a second class to race then you would have to pay another entry fee for that added race class. And yes with your 3.8 Buick powered GTP you are good to go. See ya there!
Rick, I think he means he and his wife are bringing two cars. If that's the case, it would mean two entry fees.
Can't make it this year. I will be missing this, I had a great time last year and wanted to make it this year just not in the cards right now. I am in the process of buying another business and paperwork is flying everywhere. I would rather be racing and hanging out but family and work come first. Hope everyone has a good time and hope you get some great air to run in, we will be back in the spring.
