u will need an impact wrench to loosen the nut & then a puller to remove the harmonic balancer.

In some cases, you can use the old starter trick-putting a socket and breaker bar onto the harmonic balancer and then allowing the bar to bump up against the frame or control arm of the car, thereby loosening the bolt when the starter is engaged. Once you have loosened and removed the bolt, you can rock the balancer off the nose of the crankshaft. That's the method I've aways done.

Ahhhh, the old starter and breaker bar trick....make sure the breaker bar is very close to the frame before you hit the starter. also disconnect the ignition before as you don't want the engine to start with the breaker bar attached, it might unwind the bolt quickly or more likely send the breaker bar into orbit just to land in the middle of the radiator.

Thanks fellas I tried the wrench and starter trick and beleive it or not it just raised the engine up.That is the first thing I tried before posting here as it was amazing that would not break it loose.I ran my electric impact on it for about 5 minutes before it finally came loose so I got it now.I do have another question though.I believe my Mass Air Sensor is bad,I bought the car from a friend of mine and it runs terrible. He replaced the Sensor about a year ago and it appears to have gone bad again.I did discover when I worked on it he had the sensor on backwards,he had the airflow arrow pointing toward the aircleaner.Anyway is it normal to have these fail so quickly or could it have failed so soon because he had it in wrong.I assume this is just a common problem with these but this is the first newer Buick I have ever had and need to learn I guess..........I do know the sensor is bad for sure as I swapped it with my neighbors sensor out of his 86 Olds and it ran fine....Thanks
