1985 Chevy K10, factory shortbed, stepside, 4x4. 305 chevy V8, NP833 4 speed manual transmission with factory overdrive 4th gear, NP208 Transfercase, factory 10 bolt front and rear differentials. Motor is factory origional, high mileage, smokes on startup, uses aprox 1 quart of oil per 3,000 miles. Runs good, no noise, but is tired. Transmission, transfercase, and the rest of the drive train work perfectly, no trouble with them at all. Front end has all new Ball joints, tie rods, u-joints, wheel bearings, etc.. New front brake calipers, & hoses. New shock absorbers all around, new exhaust. Truck has a mild rumble, but fairly quiet overall. Brand new wheels and tires with 3,000 miles put on them since purchase! 33-12.50-R15 Goodyear Duratracs, worth roughly $1,200 by themselves. Truck is a daily driver, everything works with the exception of the radio. CD player is included with the truck, is wired but needs installed and speakers. This is a rusty, reliable truck. Has never failed me, just looking for something with more options.

Previous owner patched the drivers floorpan with rivited tin. Needs cab corners, rockers, and front fenders, or just drive as is. This is a factory shortbed, stepside pickup with wooden bed flooring, four wheel drive. Perfect for a winter beater, work or play. Recently took the truck to the U.P. and back without a problem. Would make a good plow rig. I have an extra set of wheels and tires that go with the truck. $1000 or best offer. Buying a newer truck, need extra funds to help me cover tax, title, and license. Call 248-202-7354 or email me at scarss@gmail.com to schedule a test drive. Clear title.

Located just outside of Lake Orion, Michigan. Will take and post some more pictures tomorrow.

And no way is the bed factory for an '85. Looks like it came off a late '60s 3/4 ton.

The bed itself is factory, but I have no clue what the rear fenders are off of. You can still see the makings on the bedsides where the origional fenders were on it.

Thought I'd add a side note. I have researched putting a Buick in this truck. Thanks to some board members I learned you can use the existing drive train, simply need a GM bellhousing number 9785581. A little more information here: http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=222498

And for reference, I never did swap out the front and rear gears. Speedometer is accurate, I saw no reason to change that since somebody has already went through the trouble of changing out the speedo gears for the larger tires.

One modification I would recommend is a Powertrax Lockrite rear differential. Would be a cheap conversion to turn the factory open differential into a locker, while still allowing one wheel to spin faster than the other while turning. They're cheaper than a full locker / posi setup (around $300 each) and according to several people I've chatted with about them they are reliable, and have been for years. While for average use this wouldnt be needed, if you wanted to do any serious off roading it would be well worth the cost. Truck has the factory open differentials in the front and rear.

What was surprising is the guy that bought it didnt even look at it. He's going to junk the body, work up some new body mounts and drop a 59 Apache on the frame and running gear. Should be a nice toy when done.

    Buizila GO BROWNS !!!!!!

Not to sure about that. I have a 78 K10 at my shop right now and the bed is the same as this one. But I'm sure GM ran the same style for a while.

Sounds like the guy has done some homework on Extreme 4x4 and Truck episodes. That should be pretty cool when its' done
