    Howdy,

I'm casually interested in a "Hot Air" Turbo Riviera, that means 84 or 85. I'm not terribly picky on colours but the wife loves burgandy/red interiors so that's a plus. I'd preffer one that is or very close to drivable without major body issues. By this I mean stuff like needs the brakes gone through, new tires, maybe even a tune up (that can be dangerous on these EFI cars) for the driveline and no non existant floors, rotted quarters, or trashed interior for the body. I live in TN and while I'd like to be able to drive it home I do have a truck and a friend with a trailer so I can drag it back if needed.

    Thanks,

see craiglist-atlanta---there's a white one listed that looks decent-not great-- for about 1800.00--it needs a good home.

I went back and found the ad--it's 1050024425 --or 770-231-0037 and 404-391-1017. The car is white with blue interior, year is 1984. Looks solid--needs fillers of course, but a good start. It is described as a good running car, but at least one tire is low, and they're all old eagle ST's.Asking is 1950.00 OBO.

That looks like it might have structural rust around the windshield. I'm not sure I even would ask you to take a look at it judging from the pictures. I have no idea how they can say it can "drive out" well since that tire has been like that for years judging by its condition. Sure is cheap though. Being in Nashville thats not something I could go look at easily, I'm not too optimistic but if you wouldn't mind poking your head around it I'd appreciate it but no big deal if its not convient.

I'll find out where it is and see if I or someone I know can look at it. I'll let you know what I find.

Sorry I've not been back in touch--The guy I thought could see it hasn't been able to. The seller is down to 1200.00 obo now--almost too cheap to pass up. I think he inherited it; maybe that makes him more flexible. Again, sorry I couldn't verify its condition for you. Good luck.

Was there a model year 1984 Riviera convertible T-Type built ?
    I'm not sure....

What I read here is that for that model year there were 1153 Riviera T-Types (Series Y) built, all with a steel roof.

    Only 1424 coupes and 58 convertibles (Riviera Z series) had a V6.

Fairly certain the answer is yes... but it would be very very small. I'm interested in a T-type and not really a Convertable even if it was a T-type.
