I have some connectors I'm not sure about, maybe somebody here can help me out.

    1982 Buick Regal (had Buick 231 V6) now with 1973 Buick 350...

    1) This one comes from the wiring harness behind the brake booster, green wire with a white connector. Stumped on this one...

    2) This one coming from the top engine wiring harness, I think it was for the V6 coolant temp light?

    3) This one was in the top engine wiring harness as well, next to the electric choke connector, can't remember what it is. EGR solenoid?

    4) Vacuum storage tank, the pink plastic vacuum line goes to the heater controls, but the vacuum source line is missing. (was black I think) Where did the source originate from?

I didn't do the swap, which is why I'm trying to figure some of these out. I'm going my memory when I worked on these cars daily in the late 80's and early 90's. Just trying to improve on the swap, going over all systems, get everything hooked up correctly.

Thanks, would like to know the "original use / source" of EVERY connector on this car. I DO need the temp sender line and connector, want to know where it is, along with other things.

This is a VERY nice car, only used on weekends for pleasure driving and car shows / cruises. I don't want to take the "don't need it" approach. I already fixed a bunch of "don't need it" items under the hood last night from the last guy. Once I determine what it is for, then I can determine if I need it or not, and what to do with it. I want it to look like it came from the factory this way, with everything correct as possible.

#2 looks like it to me too, want to be sure.
#3 can't be O2 sensor, was in the top engine wiring harness, next to the electric choke connector, would never reach, not to mention ALL the computer wires / harness came together from a different souce, on the passenger side, it is a seperate system than the cars other "needed" wiring harness.
#4 I was trying to figure out the ORIGINAL source of manifold vacuum for storage tank.

I'm going to have to find an early 80's Regal with 231 and look the engine compartment over.

    Well I didn't find a Regal with 3.8, but I did find a GP with 3.8.

    #1 is still a mystery
    #2 is the temp sender
#3 could have been O2, piggybacking on engine harness
#4 got it's vacuum from a switch on the passenger valve cover

#1 looks like the hood light.

on my 82 regal the green wire by the master cylinder doesn't go to anything. must be for some piece of optional equipment or something.

Hood light is orange with a different sytle connector.

Green wire by master might be for optional equippment, somebody else said for the wiper motor, but all connections seem to be on wiper motor, and it doesn't look like a wiper motor connector.
