I was looking at THIS radio on ebay and its an AM/8 track player. So it got me wondering, where do you put the tape in for 8 track players that are combined with the radio? Do you put it in where the numbers are? o No: I think the car i bought may have one but can't tell by from the photos. ou:
I have the original AM/FM 8-track in the Riviera, and it still sounds very good :TU: You insert the 8-track by pushing it against the scale of the radio dial, this scale will swing back and the 8-track can get in. Use the pre-set knobs for your favorite radio stations and you can let the 8-track inside the radio. You can even tune into another station with the 8-track inserted in the radio, but you can't see the scale, and at night you don't see the scale light.
My electra came with an am radio/8track...boy did it sound like trash . you should see the heatsink that came along with the whole thing. The original stereo was hilarious, i'll bet that sucker weighs like 6 or 7 pounds. It has this metal pole that braces the thing while its sitting in its stock location. The speakers were like 10 ohms, heehee.
