8.2 Posi Carrier and Gears

I know I'm probably being added to the long list here, but I'm looking for a carrier and gears for a 8.2 Buick rear end. Not looking for anything specific for the gearing and I'm fine with highways, just looking to get both tires going. If someone happens to have just a carrier for 2.93s, that would work as well!

I'd specify the year of your rear end, 68-70 is different than 64-67!

I don't think they make aftermarket gears for that rear end, but the place I would ask is Fabcraft Gears in Wyoming! They specialize in obscure BOP stuff.

 

There are still zero gears available for those. I make and sell posi units for those.

 

I'm happy to sell you the 2.73s from my rear, I am replacing it with the earlier BOP. But it's an open carrier. Don't know if that helps at all!

 

I have a few but location could be a problem.

 

If you have or would make a posi unit for the 2.93 gears, I would surly be interested in that!

Yes,I can make more units. I just shipped one to another member 3 weeks ago that is installing it in a 2:93 rear like yours.

 

That's something that I would be interested in then, let me know how you want to move forward with that!

 

If Brian's does not work I have a couple of non posi in the 290 range and a Posi in that also.
