I have a 65 Skylark with a 10 bolt 8.2 BOP open with 2.56 gears. Found a real nice posi carrier for it but have not installed. Also have a nice set of 2.93 gears which I also have not installed because I need a posi carrier for them. Both are for sale but first I need to find a set of 3.08 or 3.23 gears and a posi carrier to put in. Anybody?
I'm interested in purchasing the carrier and 2.93 gears. Let me know the price. As for your needs, I will keep my eyes open. Andy
I have a 8.2 Posi 2.56, drum to drum. I know not exactly what your looking for, but it's not a million miles away. It's out of a 69 lark. Rich
Buickboy, I think this is Scott. If you decide to get rid of the 2.93 gears ( i think they are the set I sold you) let me know as I would buy them back. I tried to put the 3.36 gears on the posi carrier those gears came off of but when I roll the car I hear something clicking in the rearend. I may just put the 2.93 on again or buy a new posi carrier. If I do that I would sell the other carrier that came with the 2.93 gears. Thanks
I will I will have a 8.2 out of my 65 skylark for sale in Jan. Eaton Posi Unit, Richmond Gears 3.55 with aluminum drums. Posi unit and gears were new in late 2005 perfect ready to bolt in.
