Very slightly used set of aftermarket axles for a 68-70 8.2 rear.

I aquired these from a local guy, who wanted to change over to an 8.5 in his 68 GS, and had bought these because one of his original axles was bent. I believe he told me these were from Mosher Engineering. He was not aware at the time that the 8.2 axle is different, so we ended up getting him a new set for the 8.5, and I gave him a trade in on these.

They will not fit an 8.5, as the spline is different.

Complete with bearings and retainer plates, just install new studs and slide 'em in.

$175 for the pair + shipping.

Jim - did you mean Moser for the axles ... and are these from a 68GS400 using the elusive RW507GR bearings ?

    Alan,

Yeah that looks better.. didn't think Moser should have that H in it... but I was in a hurry yesterday.

They are out of a 68 Skylark rear end, and have a sealed bearing on them, as the seal was in the housing. I am not up to speed enough on these early rear ends off the top of my head to tell you if it is that particular bearing or not, but I can sure look into it.

... 68 Sky/GS350 rears were different than the 68 GS400 / Sporty rears with that wierd bearing size. The bearings alone - IF you can find them - are close to your asking price

Well then someone should snap these up quick, because they do have the RW 507 CR bearings on them.
