Found a clean 76 Estate Wagon. Red with woodgrain and strong running 455. $2500.00 I didn't have my camera. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. Think its wort it?

Even derbiers will pay that price; strip the car and smash it.
(clamshell) Wagons w/ woodgrain and luxury options are getting very rare and desirable.
    Please post photos

That, sir, is a slick wagon. Let me know if you decide not to acquire it. Thanks!

What a beauty. Powered tail gate. Chrome looks very good. Lacking a roof rack $2.500 is a steal IMHO.

Looking closer at the tail gate you can see it isn't closed competely on the passenger side: check condition (sometimes it will close better by first open the tail gate window a few inches and first close the gate before lowering the window)
Check for rust in the lower part of the spare wheel housing and rust under the curved rear windows (inside the car)

... and check condition of the tail gate weatherstrips (no repros available):

That wagon looks just fine, and well worth the asking price. If the budget allows, have it professionally detailed and just enjoy as is.

Check for rusty frame. Rust through in the dog leg, rear quarters, and bottom of the front fenders. Check for bondo. Leaking rear main seal. If there is very little rust it is a good deal.:TU: I looked at a '71 wagon that was freshly repainted and the guy swore to me there was no rust. It had 20 lbs of bondo under the paint, every panel was rusted through.
