    BadBrad Got 4-speed?

You know, those cars had a great suspension; was the source design for that of the 4th gen Trans-Camaro. Good luck with your search. My first car was a '77 Monza running the Iron Duke and a four speed. Zero to sixty in a week and a half. :Brow:

  3. I had a 76 Monza with a factory 265 and it wsnt a whole lot faster than your week and a half.

Here's a picture of my '75 'Hawk. My first new car was almost exactly like it and this one took me two years to find and another two years to restore. Parts, if you don't already know, are impossible to find for all the H-Special's, let alone the Skyhawks.

That's a neat car you don't see everyday Brad! It's too bad so many were thrown away, because they were sharp...I always liked the Monza hatchbacks too. My uncle had one (a notchback) when I was a wee little lad.

Gary If i find one thats a 75,an I pass on it i will drop you a line.

I would love to make a clone of the Old KBHAWK car my uncle drove. That would be cool to do

Here is my 78 Skyhawk that is for sale... $500 as I need to get this car to a good home before it sits too long... As of now the floor is great, body is great, no dents, 65,000 kms, so about 40,000 miles roughly. The V6 is a 231 and runs perfectly, the Q jet works well, still stock no mods.

I bought it too run a twin turbo buick 350 in however went with a 70 Skylark instead.

Are there any exeptions to the smog rule?? We have the IM240 here in the Hoosier state too for anything 76' and newer. BUT... if the vehicle is 25 years old or more we can get "antique vehicle plates". No smog test required with antique vehicle plates! The vehicle has to be inspected by a state police officer and has to be "similarly powered as it was from the factory" and have all of the lights, horn, wipers, etc. functional. I used this loophole to plate a 77' Bronco I had a few years back.

Tony; just plate it one county south of you! I have the same problem in Porter county. 2 miles east of me no emissions!

Ya this state has to many people telling everyone how it should be. Makes me want to move to the mid west and then I wouldnt have these dum smog laws.

But then you would have to deal with all of the rust/rot that goes along with our fine midwestern automobiles :ball: . Guess it sucks either way.

True. My brother in law lives in Lake Village. He could take care of that for me.
