" I should be asking $1,776 for this car" looks at ad.. notes steering wheel, console and engine/trans. notes almost complete lack of any other parts. moves the decimal to $17.76
That came from the junkyard in Calais vt. I saw it before it was hauled away. It's actually in much better shape than i thought it would be. It was laying in mud. The frame and floor were on the ground.
funny you should mention that aspen r/t,that caught my eye as well. ive had a few of those, they were kinda rare even bitd, most everyone collected those petty cars and the kit cars. texted him owners name is josh,he wants 4400 for it,and its got a mild 318 with a pistol grip 4 speed and a limited slip rearend. supposedly<< no rust. ahh he sent the link https://albany.craigslist.org/cto/d/1977-dodge-aspen-t-pistol/6672168359.html
Were they available with a 4-speed from the factory? Seems like a rare car. Good luck finding parts for it if you needed them though. Price seems decent though. My brother sold his 78 Volare Super Coupe for $2500 a few years ago and it wasn’t in near as good condition.
yes, usually they had the 4 speed Overdrive trans tho,in that era...Not the 833 4 speed. this trans usually came on the slant six or the 318,and it was considered medium duty trans at best. they even had some versions cast all in alum as well. if you are building one up using a v8,at least use the cast iron trans. id wager thats whats in it now, just with some " wrong " year pistol grip shifter attached to it. looks? kinda like a b-body shifter handle. also,i think 4 grand would buy it,and if you were really good, maybe even 3800. not a bad price for a rodded up mopar, even a later one. ps,his idea of rust and mine are quite different..look at trunk pics.
