  1. So, I won this:

and it turned out to be a 75 "double scallop" block with the oblong water holes. I fI have 70 heads, can I just put them on with a gasket for a 75? or do the oblong holes need to somehow be filled to correspond with the 70 heads. Won't there be some coolant leaking?

Either way, the block was cheap and it just needs to be cleaned up.

    Paul,
You can use the 70 heads on a 75 block. You do have to use a specific head gasket, that's all. I believe you need to use the felpro .040 composite gasket. I know you cannot use the steel shim head gasket with the 75 block.
