74 electra specs?

    Hey i'm considering buying my buddys 74 electra 225 limited for my regal project and just wanted to know some specs such as
    hp/ torque rating of the 455 engine,
    what tranny does it have.. th400?
    does it have posi? and what kind of gears.. 3.42?

    my buddy isnt car sevy

    230 hp SAE

    270 ft Lbs torque


    Probably not a posi and very unlikely to have a 342. You would have to check the car.

    ah figured that much about the posi lol...but what kind of tranny

    my other option is a complete 71 455 w/ cam swap and stall converter out of a rivira...but have no clue on how to get the thing out of the sellers pourch heh

    IF it is a posi, then it's more than likely a 3.23

    TH400 tranny

    Even if it's a posi, chances are it's a 2.73!
    The standard 74 455 had 210 horses but the 455 Stage 1 was available on the 74 Electra. Unless you are very lucky, don't expect finding a 74 Electra with a 3.23 axle or a Stage 1 engine!

    If you get it and you want to sell some parts before sending the body to the junkyard, I'm interested in some!

    heres another ?

    what would it take to get the engine specs around to what the 1970 455s were and what would be a estimate price?

    ps. if i do buy the 225l what parts would u be interested in phil??

    I'd be interested to have the clock and the radio, if it's the original and an AM-FM stereo. If the car has cruise control and speed alert, I might be interested in other parts...
