I was digging through some of my stuff and found a muscle car magazine from 97. Does anyone know if this beautiful 73 Stage 1 4 speed is still around? The picture is a little off, could only scan half at a time and tried to splice them together.
Article states Jim Moorhouse as the owner,is he a V8 member?

The 73 that Phil ownes has a factory decal in the window that says Suncoupe. It has a factory power sunroof that Buick called a Suncoupe for 73.

Thank you John & Jason :bglasses: According to Sloan only 40 e. sunroof SUNCOUPES (I will check the totals) Anyone know? Pat, John et al;How many Stage 1's with the suncoupe were built? (Elec or manual) I spoke with A clark at sloan . Says I have all the documents he can supply. See ya all at the Nats.(It seems there were some manual 73 suncoupes?)
Will figure it out :beer :bglasses:

According to Sloan documents,In 1973,there were actually 2 choices of sunroofs available and 2 choices of Sun Coupes available.

option code Z1 or (Y59) was a SunCoupe manually operated top 254 prod.
option code Z3 or (Y42) was a SunCoupe electrically operated required A2(Century 350 Package) 49 produced
option code Z2 or (CA1) was a standard type sun roof electrically operated(not SunCoupe) 138 produced
option code Z9 or (CO3) was a manual operated sunroof (Again not SunCoupe) 418 produced

In 1974 there was a little change made as you could only get the SunCoupe option on the Century line. The Y59 manual roof operated 105 produced
and the Y42 electric operated 145 produced.
I have a Sloan documented 74 SunCoupe in my registry that was also a Stage 1 car.and I have pictures of another Black 73 SunCoupe which I believe was a Stage I.The Sloan Documentation does not break down the motor sizes and there is no way to tell how many were BB cars or SB cars.
Here is what the SunCoupe Decal looks like on the 74 1/4 window that John was talking about.

Pat, as you know my brother's car has option Z9. It is a 4-Speed SunCoupe per the decal on the window. The car order form from Sloan shows only the option Z2 or Z9 available. My guess is that if it came with a sunroof, it is a SunCoupe. One in the same.
