STAGE III Lost Experimental 455-4 Bolt Main Block.

    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find production number breakdowns for a 73 Stage 1 automatic with the factory sunroof (called "SunCoupe") option.

    Thanks for any help.

I know that the stage 1 was offered in 1973, but the Suncoupe option was only offered in 1972.

If you have a 1973 with the Suncoupe option, then it was installed by an individual not the factory offered option. In fact they (the tops) were not installed at the factory. They were installed after the cars left the factory by ASE a company that only installed sunroofs

If possible, take the head liner down and look for the extra bracing that was installed after cutting the hole in the top.

With the roofs being different from 1972 to 1973 you normally could not just cut the top off of a 1972 and install it on a 1973, so it is likely that someone took the center section and transplanted it.
