I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. I want my 455 have more low end/ off the line power. I was thinking new intake manifold and exhaust, just not sure which ones to go with. So if you have any suggestions please tell me.
    Thank you

I had a 73 Electra a couple years ago and it was respectable but I wanted more. I installed dual 2 1/4" dropped before rear axles w/cheap turbo mufflers. A $75.00 Holley Carb on Ebay. (650 DP Spread bore) Installed an 75 HEI distributor and put one of those $5.00 Autozone weight and spring kits using brass springs. Disabled egr.

Went from a chirp at take off (600 ft. altitude) to smoking the right rear at will. $200.00 and still had A/C and cruise.

Shorty headers and a 2.5" dual exhaust system with X crossover...that will wake it up a bit.

Install a Crane adjustable vac advance kit from Jegs. It'll give you a new vac advance can and a few sets of springs you can change to adjust how fast your advance gets in. That's probably the cheapest "upgrade" you can get. Short of pulling the heads and doing some port work on them and throwing a small cam in there, you're a little bit limited on options. Getting the heads flowing as much as possible is the biggest gain. It's expensive though.

An advance curve kit and a better exhaust system will give you pretty good gains. JIm Burek
