I have the opportunity to buy a 73+ console and AT shifter and am trying to determine the feasibility of installing it into a 69 skylark. I believe a 70-72 setup can be installed into a 68/69 and I am aware that a 73+ console can be 'trimmed' down to fit into a 70-72. The base bracket of the 73+ shifter appears quite a bit different then the 68-72 shifter bracket so I'm just trying to get a few knowledgeable opinions. I'm well capable and excepting of modifying things to work, just wanting to confirm/deny it's possible. Attached are the photos of the said 73+ console and shifter in the event I really don't know what I'm talking about and it's something else.....
