73 Centurion Rear Seat Removal

    How the heck do you remove the rear bench seat? :rant: None of the manuals I have show this. Anyone? The help would be appreciated. TIA.

    I never removed the seat on a convertible but it should be similar to a closed car's seat. There are two hooks on the floor that holds the lower part. Just push the lower cushion to make it move rearward about 1" and then lift it, one side at a time. The best place to push on is the metal frame on the lower part of the seat cushion on the two outer sitting positions. Then, you'll have access to the bolts that hold the backrest section to the floor. Once you removed the bolts that hold the lower part of the backrest, just lift it up to remove it completely.
