73 Buick Apollo owner get chiming in! I am also a 70 Nova owner.:TU:

Not sure what's going in a Buick 350 or a Chevy 350, seems the Buicks cost a bit more to build. I already have shed the heavy front bumper in favor of a lighter alternative.

The alternative bumper is the 72 Pontiac Ventura bumper, lighter and tucks in better.

Well the bumper doesn't even look right for the pontiac, might just be the angle I looked at it. I cut down the front and rear bumper on my sons 1974 Apollo GSX 455 S2 motor. They both weigh in at 18#'s each plus lightened brackets. I took about 200#'s total from the 74 bumpers with the impact cylinders and all the steel backing. They fit like a glove, however I now need someone to fill all the waves and imperfections before chrome plating. The average shop won't touch it. I am looking for a reasonable price custom shop. There is suppose to be a couple in San Diego, I will be looking. Thanks for chiming in!
