72 Stage 1 parts

Looking for 72 stage 1 Heads, carburetor and Distributor. any help would be greatly appreciated.

David Walker, by the numbers shows 7042242 and 7042942 as stage 1

 

I would just get some 8148 heads and have them converted to bif valve no sense in paying for stage heads when they gonna need to be redone anyway most likely

 

That is what i will most likely end up doing.
Is this correct on the two stage 1 carburetor numbers

 

Just wanted to make sure the info is correct

 

Does anybody What the differences between the two are

 

I have both carbs 7042242 & 7042942 on our cars and I couldn't spot anything different. Here is the chart from the 1972 Buick service manual. Was your '72 Stage 1 sold new in California?

I have the original sales invoice, when i get home i will see what dealer ship it came from

 

The 7042942 is also the Service replacement for all Stage 1’s, as well as the CA emissions . There is no difference in specs as far as I know.
