I'm waiting on my Skylark manual to get delivered, does anyone have 72 Skylark Turn Signal/Reverse wiring diagram?

My turn signals and my reverse lights don't work, instead they set off a buzzer (which I guess is a seat-belt warning buzzer?). Not the same buzzer that sounds when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. This buzzer has a black and pink wire.

The flasher for the hazzards works fine and flashes all four turn signals.

Trun signal wiring is an intergral unit attached to the turn signal mechanism inside the steering column. You can by them new.

This is from the '71 manual, '72 should be the same.

I'd like to try to fix it if I can, rather than replace with new.

Update: Steve, thanks, that helped a lot. It must have been a bad connection or ground. Once I checked all the wires and cleaned the connections, everything is back to normal. The wiring diagram didn't show the seat belt buzzer in the loop but it definitely helped me trace the circuit.

    Hey there,

I'm having the same problem. Hazards work, turn signals and reverse lights don't. Could someone re post that diagram? Mine's a 71.

I would check the fuse first. The directionals and the reverse lights are on the same cuircut. The fuse powers the pink wire that goes to the flasher and provides power to the green wire on the neutral safety switch that goes to the back up lights.

Actually, I changed the fuse the other day and it started working. So ya, I agree, check the fuse! ^.^
