Not sure which area of the forum is best for asking this question, so I chose "the Bench". My son and I just finished installing a 455 in my sons 72 Skylark. When we bought the car it came with brand new 455 emblems. I would like to replace the original "350" emblems with the 455 ones, but the stud spacing is narrower on the 455's. So, does anyone know if any 455 emblems are made ( with the wider stud spacing) that will be a direct replacement in the original location of the "350" emblem on the rear quarters?

The rear 350 badges were only on a Skylark. The GS's were on the front fenders with a BMD (Buick Motor Division) badge below the GS. The 455's had a number designation below the GS badges. ws

None that I know of. I have known people that remove the pins, and then glue or doubel side tape them. Just a possible way to do it.

I would actually consider going with the double sided tape route, but it would leave one old badge hole exposed. I'm not sure how to get around that. Maybe I could find a square of thin stainless to act as a background. I'll have to think on that a bit.
