I am in the process of purchasing a nice rust free 72 GS roller. It has front and rear suspension, brakes, wheels and a body. That is about it, no wiring, the firewall is bare, no interior at all. You get the idea. I am planning on moving all of my nice parts from my rusty Skylark over to the new one and could use some advice as to which order I should be moving parts over. This project is a bit over my pay grade but I learn fast. Thanks.

Yes Vin tag and title. I am planning on about a 3 year project. I hope that is realistic.

Thanks. What is the proper order for reassembly? What’s first? Wiring? Brakes? I think interior and suspension can wait. Someone must have done this before. I’m looking for some guidance.

Thanks hugger. Like run the wires loosely into the dash n wire up that first while I have plenty of wire to work with? These are the kind of tips I need!

I was debating a new harness but you think if the old one is working fine just reuse it?

Fix any body and paint you can't live with while it is a shell. The unfortunate thing is you have to strip everything down on the donor car to get to the wiring and dash components.

I have a spare/better dash I could use with a new harness to avoid that. This is good stuff. I didn’t even know there was an asst of harnesses I could get. I was looking at master kits. Thanks Hugger. Thanks Dave. cliff

Reassemble in the reverse order you disassemble from the donor.
