Well, I bit the bullit and picked up a LeSabre convert. Few questions please. I need the motor that drives the top up and down, it was missing. Looks like it had a few cable drives that moves the top. Where might I find one of these? 2. Car is 100 percent complete, even is driveable. Has a pretty good miss though. If I can get the top to work besides manually, I'll sell it real quick. It's actually quite a nice rig, all things considered. How many of these were made? Any idea? Thanks in advance as always.

Try not to cycle the top manually unless you know exactly how it moves, and can duplicate that manually.

Go to www.convertibleparts.com or www.hydroe.com and check out pricing on their scissor top parts. Or post a thread in the parts wanted forum..

With so few produced, (in the scheme of all things), you'd think they would bring much more monies that they are selling for. Saw one on eBay and the guy couldn't get more than 650 bucks that was bid.

Sometimes you can find one on ebay. But it is rare. I don't recommend lifting the top manually either. It's like trying to lift an obese person out of bed in their sleep. These cars had the largest and heaviest production convertible top assembly ever made. Dropping a 455 in it will increase the value.
