Will a 72 GS nose piece work on a 70 Gs hood ? I sure hope so got thinking last night an I bought a 70 hood the body shop is working on it but didnt check to see if my nose piece would fit. Thanks Jim
It will fit but won't work! The 72 has a taller hood trim because the grill sits lower. The 70 grill (GS and Skylark) sit higher so you need a shorter nose piece. If you already mounted it, be careful when you go to close the hood with the grill in the car. You will see what I mean. You can NOT interchange nose parts (hood lip chrome, headlight bezels, center latch support, grills) between years unless you swap them all at the same time.
Going by his avatar I think he has a 72 GS, so everthing should work fine. It's what I have on my car. Dave Berry
