I just purchased a 72 GS convertible, sight unseen. When it was delivered the GS hood apparently rusted out and they attempted to weld the ram air into a non GS hood. (looks terrible). I also will need the passengers door and AC compressor, along with brackets.
Any help would greatly be appriciated. :Dou:

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

    Phil
That car was from Tallahassee FL. It was on Ebay. You may be right in that it was in the rust belt before FL.

AC compressor can come from the auto parts store.
The ac brkts are easy to find for a 350 car.
If you can not get them here, let me know as the local
yard has a 73 LeSabre w/350 and it has AC.

I need to know by Fri 11pm Eastern.

    Email me directly at GStage1@buickperformance.com

I have a passenger side door. It is off a 2 door car but I believe they are the same as the convertible. Maybe someone can verify that here. The bad part is I am in Oregon. I could ship it grey hound or amtrake if you would like or if you have any other ways you like to use. Let me know if you are interested. Email me at Robert8716@aol.com. I can send you pics of the door.

Since it was brought up earlier---Yes you can use a regular 2 door coupe door on a convert..it's the same thing EXCEPT BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING: You need to pull the small shiny metal (stainless probably) plate off the rear door jamb of the door before you go and throw the old door away. It is held in with two phillips screws and measures approximately 1" tall x 1/2" wide. There is a corresponding brass looking rub plate on the quarter panel jamb of the converts. These are all repro'd but there is no need to spend another $50 for a set of these if you don't have to. DON'T JUST TOSS OUT THE OLD DOOR WITHOUT CHECKING IT FIRST!!!!

You can then transfer the rub plate onto your "new" door. These are needed on converts due to body flex. Good luck with the new project. Patton

I believe I have a decent set of doors. I am in Ohio, but still a few hours drive away from you, I also have the A/C brackets you need.
