I'd have preferred it in the original color. If it was and if I had the cash I'd certainly consider buying it pending Sloan Docs &/or a numbers matching trans. although that's strong money for a '72 350 even being a 4-sp. Looks like a very nice car however. Will be interesting to see how high it goes.

Of the five (5) '72 350 4-sp. hardtop cars I ever recall seeing, (assuming this isn't one of them), four of them were Hunter Green & one was/is one of the 23 or so SCO Charcoal Mist '72's made (also a Riviera only color afaik despite not being indicated as such on the link Kerry provided). Last I knew of it, it was being restored by a guy near Hartford. He'd tried selling on CL for around $5k a few years ago to no avail (I should've bought it) & decided to keep/restore it.

There was a beautiful Hunter Green/no vinyl top one at the '86 & '87 (IIRC) Nationals with a Saddle interior/consolette - Have always wondered what ever happened to that one.

One was sold in the early '90's outside Baltimore (IIRC someone in the Baltimore area bought it) & a few years ago one was sold in South FL to someone in MI in a pkg. deal w/a '72 455 car. Both were in pretty rough shape. I was ready to buy the one in FL but he made the deal on both before as I was getting quotes on shipping. Idk why I didn't buy the one in Baltimore. I even test drove it - I think I just had too many cars & nowhere to put it but neither has ever seemed to stop me in the past:).

Wow, Dano, you seem to keep really good tabs on the 72's that remain in existence. You need to be on Jeopardy when one of the categories is "1972 Buick GS's" !

I sometimes wonder what became of my beige 1971 GS350.

Only the 350 4-sp cars, lol (any year). Unfortunately, there aren't very many to keep track of. So many were either parted or converted to 455's. @Chris Lott & I probably know about most of 'em. We've each owned 3 '70 350 4-sp cars I believe (one of his was/is a 3-sp.)

I had a '71 350 (auto) that I'd bought from a friend in the late '80's. We went together to look @ it when he bought it when we were in HS (1984 ish). He took it apart & I never got to putting it back together. It was a kinda uniquely color/optioned combo (side note - almost every GS I've owned was green exc. my GSX, a white '70 Stage 1, & the only 2 '71's I've owned which were/are Burnished Cinnamon of which there were only 700 ish made).

l sold it to a guy in OH around '08 & figured it was probably still apart or wound up being parted out. Was @ Cecil a couple years ago and as I'm looking at this '71 350 in the show, it dawns on me that it was my old car. Very neat - Texted my old friend right then. We were both very happy to see that our old car had been treated so well. 20180915_135950.jpg

I'd go check out the los alamo car, but that is as far north of my location as phoenix is west of here.
