I dont know if this is the right place to post this but what is everyone else doing with the fuel vent return line on the 72. I dont have a smog pump of anything, I just used to have the charcoal canister and dont want to have it there anymore. Can the hard return line be removed or do people cap it or what? Just wondered if it mattered what you do with it. Mine has been open for years and just want to do something with it since I totally have my front end appart and dont like that line just sitting there.
    Thanks

i left the cannister and the line to the tank. left the outlet on the cannister open and plugged the part of the carb where the line would run.

works fine...are you looking to remove the whole shebang?

I was going to remove it. My entire drive train came out of a 70 GS which I am not to sure matters but I think there are some differences with the fuel pump. I havent had the charcoal canister on mine for years but do have a 71 parts car right now that has the entire setup. Just wasnt to sure what to do with it.

Plug it and drill some tiny holes in the gas cap. It works! Check emissions laws. You might not want to show up with the drilled cap.
