Hello everyone can someone please tell me what are my options when replacing a trunk floor for a 72 electra? It has large portions that have holes in them I would like to replace the whole thing, but everyone one that I find has the same problem. Please give me some insight. thanks

Did you check to see if anyone carries the trunk floor for the 71-up Chevy Impala/Caprice....should be the same/similar floor pan or close enough for you to make it work.

I don't know for sure if anyone reproduces these or not. If not,
I would obtain a rust free floor cut out of a car from an arid climate. That will make your life a whole lot easier. Obviously you could fabricate and repair from flat sheet metal. That would provide a functional repair won't be as good cosmetically or appear as original and its a lot more work. All depends what quality of finished job you want and your budget. Shipping will be a little pricey but in the end you probably wouldn't regret it.

I would start with Mike Hogan at the Buick Bonery in Sacramento.
    (916) 599-3934 - He will cut the floor where you tell him to. If he doesn't have one he may be able to give you other suggestions.

There's a 72 Electra in a yard here, but I'm not sure how I would ship the damn thing?

I have looked into several options with the best possiblly being greyhound. They actually don't ship by weight, the actually go by size, but I don't know what it would be if you were to cut it in half, and I don't know if that would help me at all.Too many road blocks I tell ya! Everyone please let me know if you come up with an idea.

Yeah I try to get there once the weather breaks, it's also Georgie Porgies I believe that sits on rawson rd., that's Friday nights, if I remember correctly. I gotta check because that solid gold mcdonald's should be having buick cruise not soon, mine won't make it but it's a chance to see the milwaukee area buick lovers. You??

Didnt know about the Buick cruise but I will be looking into that! I recently moved back to Milwaukee from Greendale so whenever we were out on wednesdays, Id just hit the drive thru real quick and let the kids take a peek.
That was before I bought the Wildcat. So I definitly plan on showing up quite a bit this year. First one of the year is tomorrow night!
Georgie Porgies? Is that in Oak Creek?

Oh I didn't know it started tomorrow, I will try to get it in.If you give them a call they will tell you when the company specific nights are, i.e. chevy night etc. I will try to find my manual, that I got at the world of wheels there's actually a radio station dedicated to letting everyone know of the car shows. I can't wait to get my electra in shape, I want to so much this year but it'll rush it and I want it done the right way, it's in alot worst shape than I originally thought. Maybe I'll see ya there, what time does it start?
