I put a 430 in a 72 myself. got new 430 mounts. a friend welded them in. I love driving this monster.:laugh: had a chevy 350 turbo beefed up and bolted it up to an adapter plate. man is this thing is fast and very powerful. learned a lot as I built this thing. what a blast to drive!!:shock:
Too funny. I just came to the decision to move from the factory six/four speed and go to a 455/400 in a 79 SBWB Chevy. Thinking a 2" - 3" top chop would be cool too.
I worked for a guy years ago that had a 430 Buick in his Chevy car hauler, he said it was the only car hauler that would light up the tires WITH A CAR ON ITS BACK:laugh:
